This class is designed to keep us all connected through our dogs and training.
This module must be filled out before you can start your online class with us. It will allow us to get some information about you and your dog to help us help you better!
Creating a fun learning environment while we are all in an odd period of our lives.
What a great way to CONNECT with other like-minded trainers who are wanting to be creative about ways to train and engage with their dogs.
Training methods and techniques will be positive reinforcement training, focused on brushing up on old skills, testing your dogs knowledge or exploring new skills as well.
This week - our focus will be on developing skills you potentially have already been working on.
Now is the perfect time to really test your dog's skills. That feeling when you realise that your dog really understands what you have taught him is (in our opinion) one of the best parts about dog training!
This week is all about building relationships with our dogs. Often we can lose focus on the 'key elements' or things we can do that help us build and the 'fun' with our dogs.
There are so many different ways that we can make the skills that they know more challenging, fun or just exciting! That's what this week's focus is all about.
This week, our Social Hour will focus on continuing to put our foundations to the test. Often we focus on always learning something *new*, however learning 'new' things can often be easier if we ensure our foundations are always there and well practiced.
Foundations always make the more advanced skills easy. Knowing and understanding your criteria really helps when building or setting skills for our dogs.
If you are anything like us - we start training a skill and then get side-tracked and move on to something else. This week is all about thinking about perfecting the basic skills.
This week is all about using our dogs training and skill sets to help maintain fitness and muscle development.
Just like us, we have both fitness through aerobic exercise (running, walking, fast paced activity) as well as through toning and strengthening (stretching and muscle development).
These can be developed through training and tricks. It also helps us to focus on particular parts of our dogs' body that maybe needs a little more attention than others. Practicing these on a regular basis will give you a dog that has excellent all around fitness - and isn't as difficult as you think!
